Emergency Response to Balkhab District of Saripul
More then 1,000 households in different communities in Balkhab District of Saripul Province was covered with Emergency Relief Packages. These packages provided essential food for 3 to 5 months for the most vulnerable households in the district.
Cash for Work Project in Kunduz and Jawzjan
400 meter of Irrigation canal and 11 shallow well and deep well projects are implemented in Kunduz and Jawzjan provinces. These projects benefited 800 households. With rehabilitation of canal project thousands of Jareeb of land is irrigated and more then 350 households benefited from clean drinking water.
Cash for Work Projects in Kabul
Cash for Work Projects in Kabul, Parwan, Nangarhar, Balkh, Laghman, Faryab, Kandahar, Hirat, Saripul, Samangan, Badakhsan, Logar, By implementing these projects a total of 4000 households well benefit and a total of 800 households will directly get jobs implementing these projects. These proejcts are implemented in the sector of Water Supply, Irrigation, Transport, Clean drinking water.
Drilling 6 semi-deep wells
The People-led Development Institute with the financial assistance of the Afghan Air Force Administration recently started the work of drilling 6 semi-deep wells in the village of Baqiyat Mesgari in the center of Jawzjan province. The people of this village have always complained about the lack of drinking water. Development council and local people started digging these wells after social and technical survey. This project creates about 195 working days for skilled workers and 35 working days for unskilled workers. And still 332 families live in this village and about 2337 people benefit from this project.
Shah Mardan Village Irrigation Canal Construction and Repair Project
Due to the efforts of Mardan Shah village development council related to the center of Kunduz province, the development office was led by the people in a meeting with the local people and Mardan Shah development council after hearing the problems, ideas and suggestions of the village people and the development council for the construction and repair of their village canal. People-led Development Institute, with the financial assistance of the Afghan Air Force Administration, after the social and technical survey of the irrigation canal of this village, started the practical work of this project. About 231 working days for skilled workers and about 662 working days for unskilled workers will be created, and with the completion of this project, about 400 acres of agricultural land will be irrigated. This village has 247 families that will benefit from this project.
